February and March are our very favorite months of the year - calving season! 2018 will be the fourth calf crop from the Miller Angus herd sire, Hoover Bullseye M46. His calves are outstanding and have the added height and length that many breeders seek. We will also be welcoming the second group of calves from 44 Direct Action 5703. He has had a huge impact on the Miller Angus herd in both carcass and growth traits. In addition will be calves from AI sires 3F Epic, Three Trees Xceptional, SF Speedway, SydGen Exceed, WR Journey and Quaker Hill Rampage.

Hoover Bullseye M46 continues to stay on target at Miller Angus, with 1 of the 25 EPD's measuring in the top 25%, including RADG, YH, Doc, HP, Milk, RE, $M and $W all in the top 4% or better. Several sons have gone on to do tremendous work in customer herds while retained daughters are top performers at our farm.

In 2016 Miller Angus welcomed new herd sire 44 Direct Action 5703 aka "Tex", purchased from 44 Farms. Sired by VAR Discovery 2240, Tex is a multi-trait leader with strength in growth and carcass traits. With 12 out of 25 EPD's measuring in the top 1-5% of the breed, including the top 1% for YW, $F and $B. It would be a challenge to find a set of EPD's ranking better than his. He will have an EXTREME influence on Miller Angus genetics in the coming years. We are very proud and excited to make this great addition to our herd.
